Gripple launches HangPro for faster and safer suspensions
Gripple, the original innovator and manufacturer of wire joining and tensioning devices, as well as anchoring, bracing and suspension systems, has launched its new HangPro suspension system.
Backed by extensive testing, HangPro is an adjustable wire hanger that offers a faster, more efficient alternative to standard suspension systems such as threaded rod and strut. The re-engineered design now accommodates the suspension of building services up to 55kg, providing contractors with a robust solution suitable for a wide range of applications.
“Our mission has always been to create innovative, simple solutions so our customers can solve real problems,” said John Butterworth, Director of New Products, Gripple. “We listened to contractors, identified their pain points, and developed an evolved HangPro solution that performs even better – supporting faster, easier, and more reliable installations for modern construction needs.”
HangPro has already demonstrated its value on a 3,608 sqm supermarket project in Harrogate, where it was used to suspend electrical containment during the M&E fit-out. The system helped save 387 hours in labour time, while also accommodating the unique characteristics of an exposed glulam soffit. Varying angles and drop heights required a suspension solution with flexibility and ease of adjustment, which HangPro delivered.
The fully pre-measured, standardised system eliminated the need for on-site hot works, improving health and safety and streamlining the installation process. In addition, the project saw a material weight saving of 1,520 kg and a reduction in embodied carbon of 3,451 kg.
The Contracts Manager for 24-7 Group, said: “The installation team on site has found HangPro really easy to install, taking away 30% of our installation times. And from a health and safety point of view, Gripple has helped us as we don’t have to do any on-site material cutting or measuring.”
