Located in the heart of Bridgwater, southwest Winnipeg, Altea Active is a state-of-the-art $30 million 80,000 sq.ft fitness club which houses a range of training studios, family amenities, and swimming pools.
Constructed 100 percent by Winnipeg-based contractors, they saw the many benefits Gripple can bring to a project including improved aesthetics, speed of installation and labor savings.
Gripple was used to suspend the HVAC system in the building which included rectangular duct, spiral duct, fan coil units, and grill boxes. Gripple’s versatility and range meant that a full solution was on offer for the project.
The UniGrip No. 2, Express No. 2 and Duct Trapeze were chosen as the most suitable products. All of them offer quick installation compared to traditional methods, flexibility for height adjustment and improved health and safety on-site.
Gripple worked for the full project team throughout the duration of the project from the initial drawing design take-off where labour and time savings were calculated against the traditional method. It was the first time that the Contractor had used Gripple so they were supported with training during the install.
