Our unique model of Employee Ownership (EO) was established in 2011 when the holding company GLIDE (Growth Led Innovation Driven Employee Company) formed, enabling our founding chairman, Hugh Facey, to pass ownership to Gripple employees.

Our unparalleled EO model prevents any sale of our business, meaning employee owners are invested for the long term. This drives direct responsibility for customer success, commitment to growth, and our extraordinary culture and values.

Our employee ownership model also means everyone has “a stake and a say.” Success for our customers also means success for us.  We are all shareholders, inspired to design, manufacture, and deliver better solutions.

From our Founder and Chairman Hugh Facey’s “eureka” moment in 1985 that led to the creation of the original Gripple joiner and tensioner, our innovation formula was born.  Since then, our vision has been to engineer game-changing products and systems that make a difference for more customers around the world.  To keep us on track, we hold ourselves accountable to deliver 20% of all sales from products 5 years old or less.

As an award-winning global manufacturer, we create finished Gripple solutions from components we produce in-house--manufacturing over 90% of our products & parts, on machinery we design and build ourselves. We’re a trusted partner for our customers, able to deliver quality, reliability, and value.

Our vertically integrated operations produce our own die castings, injection-molded components, steel pressings, and wire accessories. We even design and build our own automated manufacturing machinery!

Through ways of working including lean manufacturing and just-in-time inventory
management, we ensure streamlined processes and maximum value delivery.  Our employee owners are empowered to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, which result in greater efficiencies, better quality, and improved customer satisfaction.

Globally, we support a wide range of community initiatives and charitable causes every year. We allocate a minimum of 1% pre-tax profit to charity every year, 0.5% toward environmental initiatives, and a further 0.5% to fuel the employee ownership sector.
