Le Luxor is a 12 storey building, containing two bedroom condos. Located in one of Montreal’s most prestigious and central locations, Le Luxor condominium offers a living standard of high quality and luxury.

When a Gripple representative first arrived onsite the project was facing several challenges; the project needed to be completed faster than originally anticipated, logistics onsite were an issue, along with the contractor wanting to create a safe working environment.

Les Entreprises Serge Fortin chose to use Gripple’s Duct Trapeze as it is ideal for single and multi-tiered suspension of rectangular ductwork. The contractor needed a suspension system which enabled them to improve logistics, easy to handle and required no cutting onsite. By using the Duct Trapeze hanger ready-to-use kits arrived on site in zone specific boxes, with fewer components taking the weight off the building structure. Also, no tools or ‘hot works’ permits were required for the installation, improving health and safety on-site.

Adjustment of the Duct Trapeze is quick and easy as the adjustment pin allows for rapid adjustment, and no setting key is required.

Overall, by choosing to install the rectangular ductwork with Gripple products it enabled the services to be installed 7 weeks’ ahead of schedule, saving the contractor 117 hours on the project. Along with the project benefitting from $7,020 in labour savings and $4,088 in overall savings.

“We chose Gripple because of logistics, easy to handle and no cutting was needed. It was great to use the Duct Trapeze as it was a copy paste job for all floors making it fast to mark installation points. We like that the Ceiling Anchor is integrated onto the cable and it drastically reduced our prep time.”
