UC Health Greeley Hospital & Medical Center – Colorado

The new $185 million UCHealth Greeley Hospital (153,000 square feet) and  Medical Center (112,500 square feet) will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to residents in this growing area. US Engineering was unable to use threaded rod on this project because the “poking hazard” safety concerns prevented them from being allowed to drop the threaded rod down more than 1 foot. Gripple was the perfect solution, since Gripple cable hangers can be dropped down as low as necessary without safety concerns, and without getting in the way of other trades.

Not only did Gripple products benefit US Engineering from a safety perspective, Gripple’s new UniGrip Hanger also benefitted them for the suspension of their piping. The UniGrip Hanger was used to suspend the clevis and band hangers for their Schedule 40 Steel, PVC, Copper Lines, and Cast Iron piping, and provided tool-less installation, with only hand-tightening required, making the job fast and efficient.

This is the first plumbing / piping job where we’ve used Gripple. Personally as a Superintendent, I would use it again. It’s a great, fast product.”
