Project Tito VRF Install, Charlotte NC
Date: 4 May 2026

On-site at “Project Tito” in Charlotte, NC, GSM Services were installing two Mitsubishi VRF systems and used Gripple Fast Trak to suspend the VRF lines, as well as Gripple hangers for the duct. Instead of the “old school” way of building a trapeze with threaded rod, strut, nuts, and washers, GSM opted to use Gripple’s prefabricated Fast Trak for their trapezes, accessorized with Gripple Quick Twist Clamps and Gripple FlexiStak hangers for their VRF lines. According to David Roseboom, Superintendent at GSM Services, Gripple was noticeably faster and resulted in a much cleaner-looking finish. The easy height adjustability of Fast Trak in particular made the elevation changes of the suspended VRF lines very simple to accommodate.

In addition, using Gripple products—pre‑cut and ready to use out of the box—eliminated the need for cutting rod or strut, making the installation process significantly safer. First-time Gripple user Ken Cribb, Foreman at GSM Services, appreciated the ease and speed of installation and the fact that it allowed the team more time to focus on improving overall quality. David added, “The advice I would give to another contractor that’s using a lot of different styles of hanging supports is go ahead and use Gripple. You’re going to save yourself a lot of time, a lot of money, and a lot of aggravation.”

We finished installing one VRF system 3 weeks ahead of time, just using Gripple products alone.
