Guarantee Electrical, a 100% employee-owned national contractor, came to Gripple wanting to use Cable Strut for the first time to suspend all of the lighting. Cable Strut consists of a horizontal span of load-rated cable that allows the contractor to hang their lighting (or other services) exactly where they need to by suspending from C-Clip Hangers.

Gripple’s Technical Team provided take-offs to help select the materials needed and provide the layout. A few meetings and site visits later, Guarantee proceeded with their lighting installation utilizing Cable Strut, with 3,150 hanger drops, and are already realizing the time savings. The alternative, more labor intensive method Guarantee would’ve used to hang the lights would have required securing 20ft pieces of strut to the structure and hanging from that.

According to Chris Ritte, Foreman, “I’m supposed to be done with section 17 [installing lighting] by the end of the month, but I’m already in section 20 with 15 days still to go. I should be done with hanging ALL the lights by the end of the month.”

Guarantee Electrical was so pleased with the speed and ease of the installation that they’re now looking to use Cable Strut moving forward on two similar upcoming projects.

“It reduces labor cost, the material, and its speed. At this point I really don’t see a downside to it”.
