Gripple supported the successful delivery of a 15 MW utility-scale solar project at Tritteling-Redlach, France, owned by Falken Sun, as part of the Exosun project.

ArcelorMittal was responsible for the supply and installation of the mounting frames and PV modules across the site, which comprises 35,000 solar panels.

To reinforce the ground-mount racking system, ArcelorMittal specified Gripple’s PV Solar Bracing Kit, installing 1,300 kits across the project. Engineered for performance and designed for simplicity, the solution replaces traditional steel bracing with high-strength, lightweight wire rope, delivering the required structural performance while significantly reducing material usage, transport demands and embodied carbon, supporting the project’s sustainability objectives.

The pre-engineered, ready-to-use kits enabled faster, more efficient installation using hand tools only, helping to streamline on-site workflows and reduce programme risk. The lightweight format eliminated the need for lifting machinery and minimised manual handling, contributing to improved health and safety outcomes and a lower risk of musculoskeletal injuries.

On this site, we installed 1,300 PV Bracing Kits. The solution is quick and easy to install and provides effective reinforcement of our structures. Compared to traditional bracing methods, the benefits are significant, and we will be using Gripple’s solar solutions on our next two fixed-tilt photovoltaic projects.

From a commercial perspective, the solution helped optimise overall project costs without compromising structural integrity. Gripple’s technical support throughout the installation phase further de-risked delivery, enabling the project team to mobilise quickly and work with confidence. Following the successful deployment at Tritteling-Redlach, ArcelorMittal has confirmed its intention to specify Gripple solar bracing solutions on future fixed-tilt photovoltaic projects, underlining confidence in the system’s performance, ease of installation and long-term value.
