We believe it is vital to equip our employees with the tools they need to fulfil their potential, to be the best they can be. Equally, we expect our people to take ownership of their job, their career and as shareholders, of this business!

You will have an annual review with your line manager where behaviour is measured against our key values. You will discuss your contribution to your team goals and how this links with the business, your achievements and training requirements. We will also look to identify any other talents or qualifications which could be useful to the wider business. You may become involved in such activities as:

Corporate social responsibility has become increasingly fashionable – which is no bad thing – but building long-term relationships with local suppliers wherever possible, working within the community, supporting local schools and charities has always been part of who we are.

It is an ethos that began back in 1989 at our head office in Sheffield, and continues across all our sites worldwide today.

  • Each year, Gripple donates 1% of its profits to charity
  • Employees are encouraged, indeed, expected to do their bit – it is one of the values we measure our people against
  • We work closely with a number of educational bodies, welcoming placement students and giving careers talks
  • Teams of volunteers are involved in ‘people power’ projects in the community

Graduates & Apprentices

Future proofing our business

We are passionate about bringing people into the business not just with the right skills, but with the right values and we like to pick up talent early! We want to offer young people in particular not just a job, but hopefully a long term career at Gripple. We are proud to say that our graduate and apprenticeship schemes have borne a huge amount of success over the years.

In previous years, we have offered graduate schemes that encompass and give the graduates experience in areas such as sales, marketing, finance, ideas & innovation and we have also offered very area specific schemes, predominately in sales.

Our annual apprenticeship scheme has to date brought in and developed some very talented engineers and moving forward we will be looking to introduce apprentices into other areas of the business. An apprenticeship means having a real job from day one. Trained, supported and coached by experienced employees, you learn every day and take responsibility for the success of the business.
