Star B Ranch and Hop Farm, Ramona, CA

Star B Ranch and Hop Farm in Ramona California is a 1,200 acre property raising a variety of different hops for local San Diego breweries The hop farm raises Cascade, Nugget, Chinook, and Crystal hops. Currently Star B Ranch and Hop Farm is the largest commercial hop farm in San Diego County. Gripple product is being used on 600 foot runs with 30 foot spacing between line posts. Gripple products being used are; 40 GPAK 4s, 120 Gripple Plus Large and Gripple Contractor Tensioning Tool.

Gripple bracing and tensioning systems helped us install 600‑foot trellis runs faster and more efficiently. The reduced labor and easy tensioning saved time and kept the project moving across our large hop operation.
