In February of 2017, 45 Gripple Root Ball Kits were installed to anchor and stabilize palm trees outside of a minor league stadium. The minor league stadium is located in Lakeland, Florida and has a capacity of 8,500 people.

Using the Gripple Root Ball Kit allows for no visual footprint and is the safest tree bracing method for pedestrians. The Gripple Root Ball Kit eliminates any potential tripping hazard for stadium attendees and allows the landscaping crew to easily mow around the trees without any barrier or hazard. September of 2017 Hurricane Irma, made landfall with heavy rain and winds between 74 – 90 mph. Once Hurricane Irma passed through, 43 of the 45 palm trees were still standing. Due to the innovative Gripple Root Ball Kit there was minimal damage / blow over.

Gripple Root Ball Kits provided a fast, safe, and maintenance‑friendly tree anchoring solution. Installation time was reduced, site safety was improved, and the system proved its performance by keeping palms standing through Hurricane Irma.
