Prior to this project, McKimmey Electric had no experience using Gripple products to suspend electrical services. Normally this contractor would have used strut and all-thread to suspend their conduit, but they decided to give Gripple a try instead. On one particular run of conduit, they needed to move it up and down multiple times during installation. This would have been extremely time-consuming, if not cost-prohibitive, if all-thread had been used, resulting in the need to completely uninstall the run, cut new all-thread, replace the all-thread with shorter or longer pieces, and reinstall the run. Instead, because Gripple Trapeze Plus and UniGrip Cable Hangers were used, the ease of leveling and height-adjusting the run by pulling through and/or releasing the cable without uninstalling anything, resulted in a 25% labor savings just for that one run of conduit. The electrician doing the installation was very impressed with the Gripple Pipe Bracket system as a method of installing their conduit, and looks forward to using it on his next job.
