Hampton County High School is a newly constructed education facility designed to bring together three existing high schools into one modern campus. With a large, combined student population and extensive building services infrastructure, the project required reliable seismic restraint solutions to ensure the safety and compliance of critical mechanical and electrical systems.

To meet local seismic requirements, the design incorporated seismic bracing for ductwork, piping and busduct systems across the building. With multiple distributed services and a wide range of equipment sizes, the project team needed a flexible, code-compliant seismic bracing solution that could speed up installation while maintaining structural performance.

Working alongside our distribution partner ASC Equipment and their engineering team, Gripple reviewed the project drawings and provided seismic design services to identify the appropriate locations and types of seismic restraints required throughout the building.
