What you'll be doing:

  • Responsibility for management of over 700 SKUs from 60 suppliers
  • Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards
  • Building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers on a global setting
  • Monitoring supplier performance and managing SLAs and supplier agreements
  • Communicating effectively with external suppliers both written and verbal
  • New Product Introduction (NPI), supply chain readiness pre and post launch
  • Aligning supply chain strategies taking key growth areas – close collaboration with global sales forecasting with sales and marketing
  • Benchmarking and obtaining quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value
  • Obtaining competitive pricing
  • Providing cost analysis on both new and existing products and recommending cost-saving opportunities
  • Working with agreed KPIs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks while supporting commercial opportunity analysis
  • Producing and presenting reports at a senior level, appropriate for both internal and external consumption
  • Understanding and following necessary governance and approvals related to procurement

Who you are:

You will need to have proven experience in supply chain, procurement or a related field. With responsibility for ensuring that robust supply chain routes and methods are in in place both pre and post launch of new products, experience of delivering new products to market is also required. You should be well-organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

You should also be able to offer the following:

  • Strategic thinker who can work with longer term vison and is quick to act
  • Experience in delivering
  • Strong understanding of Kanban systems, demand planning, and inventory control
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (MRP knowledge is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – confident working with both internal stakeholders and global suppliers
  • Dynamic and eager to deliver excellent results. You are flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and growing business environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think proactively and strategically
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of how procurement impacts manufacturing and customer fulfilment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and potentially overseas
  • A supply chain qualification or equivalent experience is desirable with previous project experience
