Safi Power Plant

Morocco

Safi is the first coal-fired power plant in Africa to use ultra-supercritical technology. The plant is the largest in Morocco with a total investment of 2.6 billion dollars. The Gripple Terra-Lock™ System was used by the Hortis company to stabilise high dunes around the site, protect coal mounds from dust particles and to allow vegetation to grow. Contractors were very happy with the speed and ease of install and the overall labour savings during the project.
