How it Works:

Installing a TecLoc Cable Bracing Kit is quick and straightforward by following these simple steps. For full technical specification, download our technical data pack.

Step 1. Attach the eyelet or bracket to the structure (single bracket for GS10, GS12 & GS19; double bracket for GS25).
Step 2. Thread the cable tail through the first channel of the Fastener.
Step 3. Loop the cable through the Seismic Bracket attached to the equipment or strut.
Step 4. Feed the cable through the second channel of the Fastener, leaving a 2” tail for adjustments.
Step 5. Hand-tighten the locking bolts – installation is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s only 1 additional drop-in anchor (insert), but the cable install speed outweighs the drilling/need for that anchor. The cable system comes as a kit, so you don’t need to source rigid brace brackets and then strut / rigid substrate, which can also be very cost-effective.

While strong, cable bracing may not be suitable for extremely heavy-duty applications compared to rigid bracing but these will be calculated and engineered for you – you will be able to utilize the time and cost benefits of our cable bracing in all other installation locations, and we will then provide rigid bracing solutions for those locations where the heavier load requirements are needed.

No, but cable braces are adaptive and suitable in several applications where you can install quickly and save time on these locations. By managing time and cost savings upfront, you can then look at alternative bracing methods in these unique scenarios.

Find out the engineering partner and provide the details to get into their submittals. Often specifies ‘or similar’ on product solutions, so this may be a sensible workaround in the short term.

This will be handled during the engineering, and you would then be advised which drops are seismic and which then need stiffening. At Gripple, we only indicate the drops that require this and don’t offer it as standard.
