Engineered strength that instantly locks in stability

The Gripple Terra-Lock® System is a cutting-edge solution for erosion control, slope stability, and soil retention. Engineered for rapid installation and long-term resilience, it combines corrosion-resistant anchors and geotextiles to lock into structurally sound soil, even on steepened slopes.

Its lightweight design reduces settlement and subsidence, while promoting vegetation growth for a natural, self-healing finish. Terra-Lock® actively prevents surface failure and sediment loss, making it ideal for challenging geotechnical environments.

With load capacities up to 7,300 lbs-force (32.5 kN) and reduced embodied CO₂, it’s a sustainable alternative to traditional hard armor. Whether reinforcing embankments or stabilizing riverbanks, the Terra-Lock® System delivers strength, speed, and environmental benefits in one intuitive package.

More Cost-Effective

More Cost-Effective

Fewer materials required than heavy anchoring methods such as soil nails, gabions, vertical piles, and Rip Rap.

Time Saving

Time Saving

Instant results and faster to install than many other groundwork-heavy alternatives.

Less Heavy Machinery

Less Heavy Machinery

Can be installed using just hand tools without special training.

Non-disruptive

Non-disruptive

Uses the soil's engineering capacity rather than bringing additional materials to the site, aiding logistics costs.

Enhanced Aesthetics

Enhanced Aesthetics

Gripple anchoring solutions are hidden in plain sight and can become almost invisible over time as vegetation grows.

Cross-compatibility

Cross-compatibility

Use different anchors with different sizes & shapes, materials, and top plates for various applications.

How it works:

Our Terra-Lock range is designed for fast, simple installation using either hand tools or plant machinery for harder ground or larger scale projects. See how it works below, or download the Technical Data Pack for full installation guidance.

Download the Technical Data Pack
1. Place Drive Rod into back of anchor, and position anchor perpendicular to the slope in desired location.
2. Place the Gripple Gas Powered Driver onto the end of the drive rod and drive the anchor into the ground. If installing into harder soils or more challenging applications, the Terra-Lock Anchors can be installed using heavier machinery.
3. Pull the drive rod out of the ground. (Use the JackJaw tool if required).
4. Place the JackJaw tool on top of the Terra-Lock plate and insert the wire rope into the jaws. Push down on the JackJaw handle to pull the wire upwards and lock the anchor.
5. When the wire has been tensioned, remove any excess wire using cutters.

Trusted by the Experts:

“Using the Gripple Terra‑Lock™ System made securing the HPTRM a smooth and efficient process. The speed of installation, combined with reliable anchoring, allowed the slopes to stabilize quickly and vegetation to establish—restoring the canal and protecting nearby property lines.”
“The Gripple Terra‑Lock™ System replaced a labor‑intensive rock ballast approach with a faster, more secure installation. The TL‑100 anchor and dedicated tools helped us install the HPTRM quickly, maintain soil contact, and deliver long‑term erosion protection on the C‑41A waterway.”

Frequently Asked Questions

The Terra-Lock® System is designed for erosion control, soil retention, and slope reinforcement. It uses ground anchors and geotextiles to stabilize surfaces and prevent failure, especially on steep slopes and embankments.

Thanks to its lightweight components and intuitive design, the system allows for quick and easy installation. Anchors are driven into structurally sound soil, reducing time on-site and minimizing labor costs.

It promotes vegetation growth, reduces sediment runoff, and uses corrosion-resistant materials for long-term durability. Compared to traditional methods, it significantly lowers CO₂ emissions by minimizing the need for heavy material transport.
