Gripple APEX™ represents the most complete below ground anchor solution on the market today.

An ideal solution for anchoring vineyard and orchard structures, the APEX range offers time and labour saving installation, engineered durability and three different tendon types to suit all soil conditions. Available in three sizes dependant on the project requirement, the APEX range also offers a choice of tendons – wire rope (WTA), rod (RTA) and fibre (FTA) – to cater for all soil conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wire rope is suitable for 90% of applications, however, in cases where thick clays or corrosive soils are present, we recommend the use of APEX - RTA (rod tendon anchors) or APEX - FTA (fibre tendon anchors) to add safety and longevity.
The fibre used in the APEX is a high strength material that does not degrade in the ground. It’s commonly used in civil engineering applications to tie concrete together and protect against coastal erosion.
Gripple has produced an anchor guide which takes you the through the process of identifying your soil type and choosing the correct APEX solution to suit your area.
APEX - Rod Tendon is a great solution in many instances but there are drawbacks with regard to handling or when using with INOX materials on the vine. If a lot of INOX is being used in the system, we recommend the APEX - Fiber option.
