The Old West Gun Works – the home of Gripple – once formed part of the renowned Firth Brown Steels, where stainless steel was first developed and industrialised. Therefore, we think it’s entirely fitting we offer a stainless steel version of our world-famous patented hanger system.
It was here in Sheffield, in 1913, that stainless steel was first invented by Harry Brearley of the Brown-Firth research laboratory following his quest to discover an erosion-resistant alloy for gun barrels. Originally conceived to defend against high temperatures, the potential to extend into food-related applications was soon realised. Almost a century later, we have coupled one local innovation with another to bring you a remarkably exclusive product.
The Gripple Stainless Steel Range is highly suited to areas with persistently elevated humidity and saturated atmospheres, including environments subjected to frequent cleansing and hygiene procedures. Possessing all the same outstanding features of our standard hangers, the stainless range remains just as simple and strong, but is also suitable for humid environments, such as food processing plants.
In order to meet stringent quality requirements, steam cleaning is often undertaken in areas where foodstuffs are prepared, hence the need for a wire hanger forged from a stainless steel alloy. With optimal corrosion resistance and prevention against rusting, our stainless system is an unbeatable solution for hanging M&E and HVAC services in any humid surroundings.
We are constantly striving to extend the range of our Gripple applications to suit your needs. Should you have any specialty requirements, we would be pleased to discuss a tailor-made solution to meet your needs.
