The Jumbo was developed primarily for orchards, offering a 600 kg working load made possible by the hardened ceramic roller that vigorously clenches the trellis wire, all without sacrificing any of our trademark ease-of-use. In addition, the Large can be utilised – it too boasts a similarly high working load, and like all our Wire joiners and tensioners can be tightened with Contractor tool. Furthermore, the 6mm Lockable provides excellent anchoring in all orchard terrains, and the Anchor 4 is particularly good for underground anchoring into a variety of soils.

The intensive agriculture increasingly favoured by orchard-owners is achieved by planting trees with smaller roots; trees that must have the support only a trellis system can provide. Preferred for their faster maturity, these trees reach full fruit-bearing capacity much earlier. And with our products they can be planted a mere 1 metre apart, creating a higher density of plants to increase the yield for the available space, thus generating a higher production rate overall.

Orchard trellising can also be used to form the basis of Protection Systems that shield susceptible fruits such as cherries from the rain to stop them bursting, or defend against destructive hailstorms that can obliterate entire crops.
