Anchoring

A source of great security and stability, the anchoring point for any trellis system is the most vital part of the structure; it not only supports the framework itself, but the steadily burgeoning fruit as well.

A high-quality anchor system forms the bedrock of any trellis - without it, catastrophe awaits, and your trellis could easily fall prey to the ill-effects of gravity. A secure anchor at either end helps prevent trees from buckling under pressure, lessening the likelihood of produce loss and insuring against a mass re-planting of your entire crop.

The Gripple Plus Anchor Kits are ideal for the lighter trellis systems in vineyards or small orchards – they are quick and convenient without foregoing strength. Exceptionally adaptable, they can be utilised with ease on concrete and wooden end-posts, and for metal posts we provide a special washer, removing the need to loop the wire around the sharp corners of the post.

For Protection Systems and heavier structures, such as in larger fruit orchards, an anchor kit with the Lockable Gripples is also available. The The Torq Tensioning Tool makes re-tensioning efficient and fast, and for rocky terrain we are proud to work in conjunction with the revolutionary Fenox Anchor, which wraps its tendrils around subterranean stones – with our methods we’ve proved it’s possible to increase from installing 20 anchors per day to 20 per hour. From the smallest of trellises to the most demanding, we provide a solid foundation for all your anchoring needs.

N.B. In some parts of the world, an alterative way to terminate a row of trellising is to use bracing.
