There are so many different ways to work with wire and wire rope. Installation methods for hangers, fence, trellising wire etc. differ from region to region and from country to country.
Gripple now work in over 80 countries and here are some of the most common questions that we are asked. We hope these help, if you need further advice, please contact us and we will help.
How much wire should I leave exposed outside the Gripple unit?
We recommend that you leave a ‘tail wire’ of at least 75cm / 3”. This will then allow enough wire for the Gripple Torq Tensioning Tool to grip onto, both when tensioning at installation and for re-tensioning at a later date.
IMPORTANT: We do not recommend that the tail wire is tied-back to the line wire, as this is not necessary and may affect the function of the Gripple unit by altering the natural gripping orientation.
