Do's ...

• Always wear safety glasses when working with wire products
• Always wear gloves when working with wire
• Only tension Gripples using the Gripple Tensioning Tool. The Gripple Tensioning Tool will deliver up to 400 kg / 880 lb of load, which is more than adequate for most purposes.
• Always locate the Gripple unit fully into the 'mouth' of the Tensioning Tool  - this will ensure a correct interface.

Don'ts ...

• Never use a tractor to pull up the fence or wire joined with Gripples. This may overload the Gripple and cause it to fracture.
• Wires have different integral strengths. Do not over-tension the wire. If possible, use a tension gauge.
• Avoid spraying the wire or Gripple with crop sprays, fertilisers etc, as this could accelerate corrosion and may shorten the life of both the wire and the Gripple.
