Design & Development Engineer

Due to continued expansion, the Group Ideas & Innovation department based at Hawke St, Sheffield, now wish to appoint an outstanding DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER.
Reporting to and working closely with the I & I Director, you will be part of a highly focused team of engineers. This hands on role in the design and development of new products, requires exceptional drive and ability to solve problems, and to bring projects to fruition within the company’s exciting R & D program. Invariably, you will be pressed by very tight timescales, working in fields as varied as agricultural infrastructures, civil engineering systems, logistics solutions and “blue sky” products.
The role includes liaison with the production & marketing departments, customers and suppliers, and will therefore need excellent communication skills. Candidates must hold a mechanical engineering or product design qualification (ideally degree level) have a broad engineering background and 1 to 2 years 3D CAD experience, (ideally Pro-Engineer).
To be successful in this role you will be unconventional and questioning, have excellent IT skills, creative design flair and the tenacity and desire to succeed in this vibrant department.
