Gripple attends France’s biggest viticulture exhibition

Every other year, thousands of wine-growers and fruit suppliers flock in their droves to the south of France, eager to attend the grand Sitevi exhibition. The trade show features the best and most inventive market leaders from across the globe, giving people the chance to meet suppliers and discover new sectors. Of all the various workshops, organised talks and exhibits, visitors were particularly drawn to the new-look stand rolled out by Carmo - the leading European manufacturer of vineyard posts and importer of Gripple products across France, Spain and Portugal.

Over the course of the three day event, we offered people the opportunity to take up a special challenge involving the Gripple Plus Anchor Kit (GPAK), our renowned solution for securing end-posts in vineyards and orchards, comprising a Gripple and a pre-cut cable. Attendees were tasked with installing the GPAK on an end-post whilst being timed with a giant LCD clock, showing just how quick and easy it is to use.

Hundreds of challengers took part in the time-trial, with the overall winner - a wine grower named Jean Francois Agut from the Gers region of France who works as a technician for Vivadour - installed our anchor kit in a mere 30 seconds. As always, the atmosphere throughout the entire event remained exhilarating, and the exhibition proved to be a great success for all involved.

From the new-comers to the experts, everyone found the GPAK a speedy system to install, with even those totally unfamiliar with our products able to set up the kit in less than a minute.
